Israel Adesanya Yoel Romero

Israel is a unique fighter for several reasons, and he is considered as a technical and rangy striker. Israel belongs to the middleweight division of the UFC. However, he is being compared with some of the great fighters belonging to the octagon, such as Jon Jones and Anderson Silva. He can fight by using many martial arts techniques and earns a good sum of money from his sport. According to online websites, his net worth is expected to be around $2 million. His highest-earning in his earlier career was against Silva, where he netted $190,000 during a fight for the UFC 234.

Israel signed a contract with the UFC in December 2017. On making a debut for the UFC, he beat Rob Wilkinson through the TKO at the UFC 221 in the 2nd round in 2018 February. Later he went on to record significant victories against good fighters such as Marvin Vettori, Brad Traverse, and Derek Brunson. These victories came in Fox 29, UFC 230, and UFC 234, respectively. During the UFC 243, Israel beat Robert Whittaker and became the middleweight champion for the UFC.

Title Defense against Yoel Romero

Adesanya faced Yoel Romero in a title defense clash on March 7th, 2020. Israel won this bout by unanimous decision; however, the fight was booed by the fans due to the lack of action inside the cage. The contest lasted for 25 minutes. There were high expectations for the match. Israel Adesanya is one of the more exciting and technically sound competitors in the UFC at the moment. Yoel Romero developed his reputation as one of the more dangerous fighters in the middleweight division due to his capability to explode in a fight. But neither of the fighters shined in the low activity match. Adesanya had requested for this match up with Yoel but was particularly disappointed with the way the challenger approached the contest. The UFC 248 bout took place in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.

Israel started his certified boxing career in the month of the year 2014. He began by fighting against the 2-time Australian Champion Daniel Ammann. For the opening cruiserweight Super 8 Boxing Competition bouts, he was approved one of the two wild cards issued. This event was published by Kali Meehan and Shane Cameron at the North Shore Events Center in the city of Auckland in New Zealand. Here Adesanya suffered a controversial defeat by unanimous decision. It looked as if he had outpointed Ammann in the quarter-finals of the tournament. In May 2015, Adesanya re-entered the same tournament, which was held at Horncastle Arena in the city of Christchurch in New Zealand. This was the second cruiserweight Super 8 series, and the winner received $25,000 New Zealand Dollars alongside a new car. His professional career began with a victory against the fellow Kiwi Asher Derbyshire. He knocked out Derbyshire in the second round of the bout.

Many people watched Israel Adesanya destroy his opponents in the UFC since his debut against Rob Wilkinson. It is hard to imagine that someone may have bullied Israel at any point in time. But, yes, the Nigerian fighter was the victim of bullying when he was growing up. He started talking to himself to uplift his morale. It became a self-appreciating ritual for the fighter, and he still uses the same.

Never be self-deprecating when someone around you is trying to shit on you, he says. You must be able to talk to yourself in the right manner. One day he was crying, looking at himself in the mirror when he was picked on. He was upset and talked to himself to gather himself. He has been doing it since. Even though this habit made things difficult for him in the high school years, Israel learned that for succeeding, you need to talk about your goals.
