Jakob Campbell is an aspiring American rapper who recently competed in Netflix’s new series Rhythm + Flow, the first televised talent competition dedicated exclusively to hip-hop and rap. Campbell managed to get in the top 16 of the competition and has created a direction for a musical career since then. As of 2022, Jakob Campbell’s net worth is estimated to be $250,000.

Campbell was born on 6th July 1998 in Denver, Colorado. He mentioned that his childhood was full of pain and traumas as he had to witness a lot of experiences that a kid shouldn’t usually be exposed to. His father was an alcoholic as well as a drug addict and would regularly beat up his mother in front of him.

He was helpless in seeing such instances consistently and found music to be a basis for him to channel all that emotional outlet. As he grew older, he started to rap too and created his music once he reached the age of thirteen.

Campbell can thank some connections and luck on the way for being a part of the Netflix competition. His manager used to be a popular personality, Ludacris’ manager too. As a result, they had a meeting that would eventually lead to Ludacris referring him directly to the show.

Eventually, he would get a ticket to Los Angeles and audition to be the last one to audition for the day. He was able to impress both the judges and the crowd and would become one of the two rappers selected from Denver, which was a proud moment for him.

After reaching the top 16, he had a rap battle with a fellow rapper named Troyman. The decision would be very tight, and though even the judges were on polarizing ends, Troyman would eventually be the winner.

Many fans even said that he was “robbed” as he had been better in their perspective. But, moving forward, Campbell has already been able to release an EP called Louder Than Words.
