Elise Stefanik is an American congresswoman serving as the U.S. Representative for New York’s 21st congressional district. She was elected to Congress at the age of 30 making her the youngest woman ever at that time. As of 2019, Elise Stefanik net worth is estimated to be $1.8 million.

Elise was born on July 2, 1984, in Albany, New York to Melanie and Ken Stefanik. She went to Albany Academy for Girls and then graduated with a degree in Government in 2006 from Harvard University. During her time at Harvard, she was awarded the Women’s Leadership Award.

After graduating from college, she joined the George Bush administration where she worked as staff to the Domestic Policy Council. In 2012, she helped prepare the GOP platform, where she served as director of new media for Tim Pawlenty’s presidential exploratory committee. She also managed congressman Paul Ryan’s debate preparation when he ran for Vice President in 2012 election.

Stefanik declared her candidacy in the 2014 election for the United States House of Representatives in New York’s 21st congressional district. In the Republican primary, she defeated Matt Doheny by 61 to 39 percent. She faced Democratic nominee Aaron Woolf and Green Party nominee Matt Funiciello in the general election. She defeated Woolf and Funiciello gaining 55.2% to their 33.5% and 10.6% respectively. Stefanik was 30 years old at that time and became the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.

Stefanik who is the firm supporter of President Donald Trump ran for re-election in 2016. She faced Democrat Mike Derrick and Green Party candidate Matt Funiciello in the general election. She won re-election with 66% to their 29% and 5% respectively. In 2018, she again won re-election with 56.1% of the vote compared to Democratic Tedra Cobb (42.4%) and Lynn Kahn (1.5%).

In 2015, Elise was appointed to the House Armed Services Committee. One month later, she was appointed vice chairwoman of the House Armed Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Readiness.

Stefanik announced that she won’t support the impeachment of President Donald Trump. During the hearings, Matthew Dowd, former chief strategist for the Bush administration and current ABC News political analyst tweeted saying “Elise Stefanik is a perfect example of why just electing someone because they are a woman or a millennial doesn’t necessarily get you the leaders we need”. In her response, she called the tweet “disgusting, sexist and shameful”.

Regarding her personal life, Stefanik is married to Matthew Manda. He is a marketing and communications professional. She owned a minority interest in a townhouse near Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., valued at $1.3 million.
