Adam Mosseri is an American entrepreneur. He currently serves as the head of Instagram. Mosseri previously served as an executive at Facebook, where he is recognized for establishing the platform’s News Feed. As of 2019, Adam Mosseri net worth is estimated to be $120 million.

Adam was born on January 23, 1983, in Chappaqua, New York. He went to New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study where he learned about media and information design. In 2005, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Information design.

While studying at NYU, Mosseri started his own design consultancy called Blank Mosseri. His company focused on graphics, interaction, and exhibition design while the company had offices opened in New York and San Francisco. In 2007, he joined TokBox as the company’s first designer.

In 2008, Mosseri joined Facebook as a product designer. One year later, he became a product design manager and in 2012 he became the design director for the company’s mobile apps. Under his leadership, he established the platform News Feed on Facebook which became quite popular. In 2015, Business Insider recognized Mosseri as a Facebook “Power Player”. From 2016 to May 2018, Mosseri served as a vice president of product for Facebook.

During his time, he oversaw Facebook Home, the company’s unsuccessful attempt at bringing a mobile home screen to Android devices. After the 2016 election, Mosseri took stance on removing fake news. During the 2018 Cambridge Analytica scandal, Mosseri was one of the few Facebook executives who was vocal about the company’s role in providing trustworthy news to the users.

In May 2018, Mosseri became as Instagram’s vice president of product. He was then moved to the role of head of Instagram six months later following the resignation of founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger.  As a company head, his role is to hire a new executive team and oversee all functions of the business.

Regarding his personal life, Mosseri is married to Monica Mosseri. They currently live in San Francisco along with their two sons. The Mosseri family is also active in local philanthropic causes including the Shanti Project.
