Reanne Evans is an English snooker player and the current World Women’s Snooker Champion. She has held the title a record 12 times, with 10 consecutive titles coming between 2005 and 2014. Evans was born on October 25, 1985, in Dudley, United Kingdom. She went to Bishop Milner Catholic School in Dudley. Inspired by her older brothers, Evans began playing snooker at the age of 13.

Reanne Evans made her name in 2009 after winning 61 consecutive women’s matches and defeating world champion John Higgins 4-3 at the 2009 Six-red World Championship. For the main tour in 2011-12 season, she was awarded a wild card making her to play all ranking events at the qualifying stage. This made her the first woman to play on the main snooker tour since Allison Fisher in 1994-95. However, Evans failed to win a single match throughout her season on the tour, suffering consecutive 18 defeats.

In 2012/13 season, Evans won many Q-School matches to earn a place in the qualifying rounds for the 2013 Wuxi Classic. She competed as an amateur. After winning against Thailand’s Thepchaiya Un-Nooh in the qualifying match, she was scheduled to play world number 2 Neil Robertson in the last 64. Although she entered the completion as an amateur, she became the first woman ever to reach the final stages of a ranking snooker tournament.

In the women’s division, Evans has won the women’s world title a record of 12 times. 10 of those came in the years 2005 and 2014 while the rest of the two came in 2016 and 2019.

Regarding her personal life, Evans may be currently single. In 2005, she began a relationship with Northern Irish snooker player Mark Allen. Together they had a daughter named Lauren who was born in 2006. In 2008, they decided to end their relationship.
