Philip McKeon was an American actor best known for playing the role of Tommy Hyatt on the sitcom “Alice” from 1976 to 1985. Philip McKeon net worth at the time of his death is estimated to be $2 million.

McKeon was born on November 11, 1964, in Westbury, New York to Barbara and Donald McKeon. He also had a younger sister named Nancy McKeon.  Philip began his professional career as an actor when he was just 4 years old.

McKeon’s career as an actor started when his parents took him and his sister Nancy, then age 2, to a nearby modeling audition and he began his career as a child model appearing in several magazines, newspapers, and television commercials. After that, he went on to land numerous modeling stints, followed by several parts as guest artists in movies.

It was actress Linda Lavin who played Alice on the sitcom “Alice” first saw Philip at Broadway performance and thought he was bright and talented. She recommended him for the part of Tommy which he eventually landed. He played the famous role of Tommy Hyatt for 108 episodes from 1976 to 1985.

After that, he landed several movies and TV roles like Chips, Leadfoot, Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, Amazing Stories, Favorite Son, Sandman, Red Surg, Ghoulies 4 and many others. In addition to that, he has also produced or directed a few films like Teresa’s Tattoo and The Young Unknowns.

After 2000, McKeon worked on radio in the news department at KFWB AM 980 in Los Angles and then as co-host of the morning radio show “The Breakfast Taco” on KWVH-LP 94.1 FM in Texas.

On December 10, 2019, McKeon died in Texas following a long illness. He was 55 years old. McKeon was never married.
