Kellen Winslow Jr is a former professional football player who played a tight end in the National Football League. Winslow Jr. has played for Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, and New York Jets during his time at NFL. As of 2019, Kellen Winslow Jr net worth is estimated to be $12 million.

Winslow was born on July 21, 1983, in San Diego, California. He is the son of San Diego Chargers tight end Kellen Winslow, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Winslow Jr. went to Patrick Henry High School followed by Scripps Ranch High School.

Winslow Jr. played his college football at the University of Miami where he played for the Miami Hurricanes football team from 2001 to 2003. He was a unanimous All-American, first-team All-Big East selection, and won the John Mackey Award in 2003.

He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the sixth pick in the first round of 2004 NFL Draft. His time with the Browns was marred by injuries. After his first two games into his rookie season, he suffered a broken right fibula, which cost him $5.3 million in bonuses. He was on the sideline the whole year due to the injury.

2005 was also a bad year for him as he suffered another leg injury. This time it was in a motorcycle accident. He had a torn ACL in his right knee and was placed on the “Physically Unable to Perform” list for the entire season.

Kellen Winslow married Janelle on June 15, 2006. Together they have a son named Jalen Maximus Winslow and a daughter named Juliana Arielle Winslow.

Winslow’s successful season with Browns came in 2007 after he finished with 82 receptions for 1,106 yards and five touchdowns. He was named as a first alternate for the 2008 Pro Bowl. In 2009, he was traded to Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their 2^nd round pick in the NFL Draft. He received the biggest contract for a tight end in NFL history with a 6-year, $36 million deal.

On May 22, 2012, Winslow was traded to the Seattle Seahawks and was released four months later after Winslow declined to reduce his salary. He then signed with New England Patriots but was released after playing only one game. Winslow then signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets.

On Oct. 11th, 2013 Winslow received a 4 game suspension for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

In January 2014 he was charged with drug possession and received discharge conditional.

In September 2017, Winslow listed his Austin, Texas, mansion for sale, at a price of $2.15 million, And in March 2019, Winslow and wife listed their home in Encinitas for sale for $3 million.

Winslow was arrested on June 7th, 2018 while fleeing a mobile park in Encinitas, California, he was charged with burglary in the first degree and held on a $50,000 Bond, a few days later he was arrested once again to be exact on June 14th, 2018 and charged with rape and kidnapping. Winslow posted a 2 million dollar bail and was released with a GPS monitor, in a separate case that same month he was charged with raping a 17-year-old girl while she was unconscious from 15 years earlier in 2003.

In 2019 his legal troubles did not go away as you will read below.

On November 4, 2019, Winslow pleaded guilty to the rape of an unconscious teen and sexual battery on a 54-year-old hitchhiker as part of a plea deal. The court agreed to sentence him to between 12 and 18 years in prison. Winslow’s sentencing was scheduled to be held on March 18th, 2020 but due to the CoronaVirus, it has been postponed indefinitely.

In Winslow’s regular-season career as a receiver, he averaged 11.2 yards per game and ran a produced a total in his career 5,236 yards.
