James Daniel Jordan, also known as Jim Jordan, is an American politician and former wrestler. He is part of the U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 4th congressional district since 2007. Moreover, he is also a ranking member of the House Oversight Committee since 2019. As of 2019, Jim Jordan net worth is estimated to be $400,000.

Jordan was born on  February 17, 1964, in Champaign County, Ohio. He studied at Graham High School where he was active as a wrestler and was very successful having won state championships all four years he was in high school. He then joined the University of Wisconsin and continued his growth as a wrestler becoming a two-time NCAA Division I wrestling champion.

After graduating with a degree in economics, Jordan continued his education by gaining a master’s degree from Ohio State University in Columbus. Moreover, he also has a J.D. degree from Ohio’s Capital University Law School but interestingly, he has never taken the bar exam.

Jordan has worked in his with Ohio State University as an assistant wrestling coach for a total of 8 years. However, his time there has been questioned critically as during his tenure an investigation from the university found out that there were a massive 53 members of the team who were sexually abused by the team physician named Richard Strauss.

In 1994, Jordan had been elected to the Ohio House of Representatives. He is also one of the founders of the House Freedom Caucus and served as the group’s first-ever chairman. Jordan has been a big supporter of President Donald Trump which has made him a polarizing figure.

Jordan has been a stalwart supporter of urging Jerrold Nadler to resist calls for presidential impeachment. During the infamous Robert Mueller testimony, Jordan was part of it as well asking some critical questions in the process.

Regarding his personal life, Jordan lives together with his wife Polly in Champaign County. They two had started to date when Jordan was only 13 while Polly was 14. They have four children and two grandchildren together.
