David Emmanuel, who is better known as Ceaser Emmanuel, is the CEO of the tattoo shop franchise called Black Ink Crew. Ceaser was born on June 5, 1979 , in The Bronx, New York. In high school, he studied Graphic Communication and Arts and would later join the Katharine Gibbs College where he again focused upon Graphic Arts.

Ceaser’s mother is originally from Jamaica and had come to the U.S. on a work visa seeking a better life where she was working in the beauty salon. She had gotten pregnant and made sure that Ceaser would get U.S. citizenship for his future.

Though Ceaser’s father had passed away when he was young, Ceaser looks up to his mother as his biggest inspiration and a role model. From a young age, Ceaser was amazed by tattoos and by the time he was 18 years old, he had already gotten several tattoos.

Ceaser would have a daughter later on who would provide him with a paradigm shift. This is what drew him towards Black Ink where his friend had been operating the business. He then became a part of the company and while other’s seeked other opportunities, Ceaser remained tenacious and persistent about building an empire.

The shop was starting to see major traction though there were many ups and downs in the process. Later on, he had appeared in a show alongside his cousin brother on the pilot episode of MTV’s Son Of A Gun series and had caught the attention of the producers there. That is how Black Ink Crew would become a reality television series and is now running on its eighth season.
