Bianca Del Rio Net Worth: How Rich is the Drag Queen Actually?
Roy Haylock professionally known by the stage name Bianca Del Rio, is an American drag queen, comedian, actor, and costume designer. She is best known for winning the 6th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. As of 2019, Bianca Del Rio net worth is estimated to be $2 million.
Haylock was born on June 27, 1975, in Gretna, Louisiana. He is the fourth of five children born to his parents. He is of Cuban descent on his mother’s side and Honduran descent on his father’s side. Del Rio went to West Jefferson High School where she started acting and designing costumes. After high school, he decided to move to New York City, where he worked at Bloomingdale’s for nine months. After that, he returned to Louisiana.
Bianca’s biggest highlight of his life came at the age of 17 which paved the path for his further success. Bianca received a Big Easy Entertainment Award for Best Costume Design for Snow Queen. Later on, another thirteen nominations were bagged by him, out of which he won six.
He then moved to New Orleans where he started performing as a drag artist in 1996 play Pageant. Haylock won the New Orleans Gay Entertainer of the Year for three years as drag queen Bianca Del Rio. Fiver years later, he was selected as co-grand marshal for Southern Decadence XXIX.
In 2010, Bianca was featured in the web series Queens of Drag: NYC. Next year, he appeared on One Night Stand Up: Dragtastic! NYC. In December 2013 Bianca Del Rio announced she would be competing on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She was crowned the winner of the sixth season over runners-up Adore Delano and Courtney Act. With that win, Del Rio is also the first Hispanic winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
In 2013, Del Rio played in the independent film Hurricane Bianca. A sequel, Hurricane Bianca: From Russia With Hate, was released in 2018. After her success on Drag Race, Del Rio has written and toured several stand-up shows, including The Rolodex of Hate, Not Today Satan, Blame It On Bianca Del Rio and It’s Jester Joke.
