Kelvin Warren Fletcher is an English actor, writer, and professional racing driver. He is best known for playing the role of a character named Andy Sugden in the television soap opera called Emmerdale which ran successfully for well over 20 years. Fletcher was born on 17 January 1984, in Oldham, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. He studied at Mayfield Primary School in Derker. Alongside his academic studies, Fletcher was involved in acting from the young age of six after he had joined the Oldham Theatre Workshop.

This early start would help him to have an accumulative advantage that led to his first major role in the Charlie Is My Darling where he played the lead character of Charlie. Over the years, he would gain further experience with roles in different television shows some of them being Suspicious Circumstances, Heartbeat, and Chiller.

By 1996, he had already established himself through the various roles played and would be the perfect fit for a key role in Emmerdale. He initially had only a short contract with them but later on, it was extended into a long-term deal.

His role here would make him a stand-out star in the United Kingdom and would bring in major awards including the Best Actor and Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards.

But, he is also a professional in an entirely different world which is racing. He is known to be a professional racing driver currently racing in the prestigious British GT Championship. He has a certified MSA Competition Licence and was the winner of the 2012 Silverstone Classic Celebrity Challenge race.

Over the years, he has put more emphasis on his racing career as his career in acting had already included many achievements. He has raced in the Touring Car Championship in 2016.

Fletcher would marry Liz Marsland, with who he had been in a relationship for a long time on November 28, 2015. Soon after, within one year, they announced the birth of their daughter named Marnie. Most recently, in late 2018, they also welcomed a son named Milo.

In 2021 he played Gavin Jackson in one episode of Death in Paradise he also played in one episode of Moving on as Nathan. Current 2022 jobs include Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure as the Presenter of the Six-Part Series and The Teacher as Jack.

Kelvin played in one movie as John Seabourne in 2020 in the film We Go in at Dawn.

He raced for Redline Racing and Team Parker Racing in 2014 in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain also in 2014 he raced with the Porche Cars GB team in the Porsche Supercup. In 2016 he raced in the Britsh Touring Car Championship for the team Power Maxed Racing.  He raced for Team RJN Nissan with UtraTek in 2017 in the British GT Championship, in 2018 UltraTek Racing / Team RJN also in the British GT Championship, and again in 2019 for the British GT Championship for the team Beechdean AMR in 2021 he raced in the British GT Championship for two different teams first for JRM Racing and the second Paddock Motorsport.

Fletcher is also a big fan of the Rugby League especially a fan of Oldham’s Paul Sculthorpe and Kevin Sinfield.
