Justin was born on July 10, 1990, in San Francisco, California. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Peking University in 2011. While at Peking University, he was the President of the Association of Western Study, and a Peking University Student Union Presidential Candidate. So, it’s not surprising to see where his leadership attributes came from.

In 2013, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Arts in Political Economy. He also graduated from Hupan University, which was founded by Jack Ma for entrepreneurs. On March 26, 2018, he submitted a thesis titled “The Birth of Decentralized Internet” where it provided an in-depth analysis on the blockchain industry’s past, present, and future.

The Foundation created TRON Protocol, one of the largest blockchain based operating systems. In June 2018, he also became the CEO of Bit Torrent after his company acquired the Bit Torrent for a whopping $140 million.

In addition to that, he is also the Founder, CEO, and Chairman of “Peiwo”, the largest voice live streaming app in China. He founded Peiwo in 2013. From 2013 to 2016, he served as Ripple Labs’ Chief Representative in Greater China.

Justin was included in the 2017 Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list. He was also included in Forbes 30 under 30 China list three years in a row in 2015, 2016, and 2017. In October 2018, he gave a $3 million USD donation to Blockchain Charity Foundation. The foundation is known for using “blockchain for social good”.

Recently, he shared a tweet that he placed a record-breaking bid of $4.57 million to lunch with Warren Buffett as a part of the “Oracle of Omaha’s” annual charity auction for the Glide Foundation.
